Adrian’s Books The thing is if you write a book, and no one knows that you have written it, that does not seem to me to be very useful. On the other hand it is quite hard to be a self-promoter; at least I think it is. I am surprised however that people I know often say to me “oh I didn’t know you had written a book” well actually, I have written five that have been published. I write because I want to persuade, and if no one reads them that was a waste of effort wasn’t it? So forgive me if you already know the things I write about and don’t want to read about the subjects. But maybe you don’t know, and maybe just maybe you would like to know, and even a further, maybe want to read one of my books. My first book Leadership And… published in 1987 by New Living Ministries, sold out. Republished by New Wine and this edition has almost sold out again. Approximately 12,000 copies have been sold and hopefully are being read. I know that a training organisation used them as their set training manual, so that was highly complimentary. At least one USA church used this book for their own leadership training course, which encourages me. I now hear it will be used week by week on a satellite TV programme that really is good to know.    Published by New Wine Press ISBN 0-947852-88-3 £4.99 My Second book is called Attracting Training Releasing Youth. This has just sold out so that means there must be around 6,000 somewhere around. People say good things about it. I have thought about revising it but there is always something else to write about and so instead it is being republished by iUniverse. It’s what I think about young people and how I much believe in them. They are not only the hope for the future but they have fantastic contributions to make now!          Latest Publication by iUniverse ISBN 978-0-595-50858-7 $13.95 £7.00 The third book is called Jacob a Fatherless Generation this has not been around so long and is still well in stock though selling ok. It really is a look at church and lots of other things, thinking about the fact that Jacob’s tend to leave home and set a new agenda. I do have a little look at culture and fatherlessness as well. I hope that in some ways this book will contribute to the ongoing necessary discussion about the shape of church and just what are our values and where do we get them from.   Published by Rainbow Publishing ISBN 1 -903725-17- 8 £5.99 My forth book is called HELLO is that you God. This is really a story book about how God talks to us, always asking the question does he? This is almost brand new out and so far I am really excited about the reactions of people who have read it. Of course what I need is for those of you who have read it and like it to tell your friends. It is an easy read, and I find even very young people like the stories, which are true by the way. This is called Culture Clash. I have been doing lectures for Barnabas Training International at the Diploma level for some time, and also deliver it a local college for the BA and MA students. The subject is an important one for this day of multicultural UK and the Global village. Mine isn’t of course the last word on the subject but again a contribution to a conversation that needs to take place. I hope, with this book, I will at least contribute to an awareness of ours and others cultures. This book actually is in three parts, and with the help of Barnabas Training International could be use by others as a training manual.
