LYNN GREEN

Update

( news and events )

hello church,

Just wanted to communicate a few things so we can all stay up to date.

1.Scotland Green
2.Christmas 20th Dec
3.Saggs mustard prayer.

1.As you may or may not know scotland green went to auction on Mon 8th and was sold boo. However having wandered around people and been hearing their responses to situation the following seems to be ringing true.

  • People are disappointed but still want to go forwards to find another shell to operate from.
  • People are excited and welcome the extra time to polish their business plans and funding sources, therefore being better prepared.
  • People are not entirely sure in this current housing market that we have heard the last of scotland green and are keeping an open mind as to what God may have for us.

So on the scotland green issue: We recognise that we are in a process. Although  we are not at the end of the process, as anyone who has ever bought or been around people that have bought a property will know, it can be a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. The ups and downs, the meeting of people, pulling together of monies, the anticipations the making sure that you have dotted your eyes and crossed your t’s can be lengthy.

We would in light of this, on behalf of all Rainbow like to Thank ALL those that have helped get the process thus far. We would particularly like to thank Angela Paul Eammon Hazel Simon Christine Matt Adrian Pauline for all their hard who we recognise it has enabled the process to move forward another step fantastic!.

2. Rainbow Christmas party 20th Dec 4:30pm at Foxglove close.

Overview: We are incorporating the school play with worship, carols, mulled wine, mince pies, soup and prayer. We are aiming to produce a friendly welcoming fuzzy environment that any parent or Aunty/uncle or friend or Rainbowite would enjoy and and relax in! We would like people to experience Gods Love and acceptance through spending time with us.

Most of the jobs in putting this event together have been filled but if there is anyone who fancies helping to decorate the hall and making it all spangly can you contact Jo it would mean getting there at 4pm to help pop everything up. ta.

3. SAGGS mustard prayer Monday 15th 6:30-9pm

After the members meeting we have heard some talk about mustard seed ideas! We would love to just pray for Gods blessing on anything that may have been triggered off. We (Gareth and Jo) will be have an open flat evening from 6:30-9pm for anyone who would like to pop in and get some prayer all welcome. kids will be prioritized so they can get home to there beds for school.

Also please keep in mind for the 20th which SAGGS you want to commit to.  Tottenham / Islington / Palmers Green

Over and out!

Jo xx

RAainbow Camp 2008

( youth and news and events )

Just had the church camp which was great. Lots of Afghanistans and Albanians playing cricket till the night sky hid the ball being chucked at you. Great time and can’t wait till next year. Here are some quick pics.

Also Blaze says he liked camp but was not sure about being attacked by a weaver fish.

That thing really hurt!
